For two years, one patient lived with constant left inguinal pain that completely disrupted daily life. The pain became so severe it left him unable to function normally, despite exhausting nearly every avenue to find answers.
During that time, he visited 19 different specialists, underwent eight imaging studies, received multiple pain management injections, and was prescribed various opioid medications. Yet no one could provide a clear diagnosis or lasting relief.

After carefully listening to the patient’s history and symptoms, Dr. Yunis identified the true source of the pain: ilioinguinal and iliohypogastric nerve neuromas. Rather than continuing temporary pain management approaches, he recommended a double neurectomy to address the underlying issue.
Following surgery, the patient experienced immediate relief from the extreme pain he had endured for years.
